Rustenburg - A severely beaten man accused of stealing a tablet computer died at the Orkney police station near Klerksdorp, North West police said on Monday.
Lieutenant Colonel Pelonomi Makau said four men brought a 31-year-old man to the Orkney police station accusing him of stealing a tablet on Sunday morning. “It is alleged the victim was severely assaulted by the suspects. Medical services were called and the man was certified dead at the police station.”
Two of the men, aged 27 and 31, were arrested on a charge of murder. They were expected to appear in the Orkney Magistrate's Court on Monday.
