Cape Town - Axe-murder accused Henri van Breda’s pre-trial conference was postponed to February 3 in the Western Cape High Court on Friday

He is currently on bail of R100 000 in the triple murder case.

Van Breda is accused of the brutal murders of his parents and brother, and the attempted murder of his sister in 2015.

He allegedly used an axe to murder his mother, Teresa, his father, Martin, and his 22-year-old brother Rudi at the luxury home where they lived in the De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate.

His teenage sister Marli survived the attack, but required emergency surgery. She has since made a full recovery.

On Friday Van Breda’s legal team requested more particulars from the State which resulted in the postponement.

Van Breda is reportedly a tik addict and was arrested for drug possession in September. He was released on R1 000 bail in that matter.
