Cape Town - A Cape Town man was found guilty of killing a child, and of numerous abductions and rapes by the Western Cape High Court on Monday, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said.

Spokesman Eric Ntabazalila said Soyisiso Nofemele, 21, targeted children between the ages of two and seven in Khayelitsha.

He lured them by promising them sweets and chips. He was found guilty of 12 abductions and 11 rapes.

Arguments in aggravation and mitigation of sentence would continue on Tuesday. - Sapa
