Cape Town – Cape Town police on Monday released the identikit of a man who allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 22-year-old woman in October last year.

Police spokesperson Andre Traut said the suspect and two accomplices approached the young woman just after 8pm on October 24, 2016, while she was walking in Philippi.

"They forced her in a vehicle and injected her with an unknown substance and allegedly sexually assaulted her. She was later dropped off in Hanover Park," Traut said.

He said the suspect was driving a silver car and the victim described him as tall and slender with a fair complexion.

He is believed to be between 45 and 50-years-old.
