Limpopo – A 63-year-old medical doctor was robbed and killed after he was followed from an ATM in Phalaborwa, Limpopo police said on Friday.

“Two suspects have been taken in for questioning following the murder of well known Dr Lawrence Basil Khoza. It is suspected that he was overpowered while walking in town at around 11pm last night [Thursday] and hit with a blunt object at the back of his head. He collapsed and died on the scene,” said spokeswoman Colonel Ronel Otto.

His personal belongings, including a cellphone and wallet, were missing, said Otto.
