Five people were arrested in Polokwane on Monday for possession of a rhino horn, Limpopo police said.

Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said patrolling police saw them travelling in a bakkie along Tshipise Pafuri and Folovhodwe roads.

All were apparently from Mozambique. On searching their vehicle, police found the rhino horn. They also confiscated a rifle with 10 live rounds and an axe.

The men, aged between 39 and 45, would appear soon in the Mutale Magistrate's Court. - Sapa
