Durban - The young woman who attempted to sell her 19-month old son for R5 000 on Gumtree is expected to plead guilty to contravening the Human Trafficking Act next week.
The 20-year old woman from Azalea township appeared in the Pietermaritzburg Regional Court on Monday where she was remanded until November 30.
The Daily News established that she was still consulting with her legal aid attorney and that she intended to plead guilty to the charges against her.
She had abandoned her bail application earlier this month.
The woman was arrested in a police sting operation after she posted an advert on Gumtree offering to sell her son for R5 000.
