A 19-year-old man appeared in the Itsoseng Magistrate's Court on Friday after allegedly raping his 10-year-old neighbour, police said.
The matter was postponed to January 6 for a bail application, Captain Pelonomi Makau said.
She said the man asked the girl to accompany him to a nearby village on Wednesday and she agreed.
On the way he allegedly forced her into a plantation and raped her. The girl reported the attack to her parents when she got home.
“She was taken to the hospital and rape was confirmed. The suspect was later arrested,” she said. - Sapa
