Schweizer-Reneke, North West - North West police found more than 5000 live rounds of ammunition hidden underneath the floor of a church in Schweizer-Reneke on Friday.
Brigadier Thulani Ngubane said three crates with ammunition ranging from 9mm, R1, and R5 rounds were seized.
“Police found the ammunition hidden under a trapdoor in the wooden floor behind the pulpit.”
No arrests have been made and police were investigating a case of unlawful possession of ammunition, Ngubane said. - Sapa
