A man accused of raping a 14-year-old girl appeared in the Ventersdorp Magistrate's Court on Monday, said North West police.
The matter was postponed to Tuesday, said Captain Pelonomi Makau said.
Makau said the girl was visiting her aunt, who stayed in a rented house in the 34-year-old man's yard.
On Friday morning he called the girl to his bedroom and asked her to iron his clothes. He then grabbed her and raped her, she said. He was arrested. - Sapa
