Johannesburg – A man was killed and woman seriously injured early Thursday morning after a shooting incident at a residence on Scania Cresent in Copesville in Pietermaritzburg, ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said.
“Paramedics found a man lying motionless in one of the rooms. Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous gunshot wounds and showed no signs of life,” said Meiring.
“Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his multiple fatal injuries and was declared dead on scene.
A woman was also found on scene with numerous gunshot wounds.”
Paramedics treated the woman and thereafter transported her to a nearby hospital.
Police are investigating the shooting.
