A Cape Town man has received counselling after he was apparently raped by a man dressed as a woman, it was reported on Friday.
Lt-Col Andrè Traut told the Cape Times the man, 26, was walking to the Groote Schuur hospital on Wednesday morning when someone who appeared to be a woman approached him in Bouden Street, Observatory.
The woman, holding a purse and wearing a wig and black miniskirt, confronted him with a knife.
The victim soon realised his attacker was male. The man forced him into an alleyway and raped him before fleeing. Police are searching for the attacker, in his thirties. - Sapa
