Johannesburg - The young woman, who was allegedly raped by model agency boss Dawie De Villiers, told the High Court on Wednesday that they had had a “normal” conversation in which they discussed events of the day before he attacked her.

“He said ‘hi how are you, how was your day?’” recalled the woman, who was only 17 years old at the time.

Now, 20, the woman was testifying for the second day against De Villiers, who is faces charges of sexual assault, rape, child pornography, sexual grooming, and fraud, in the High Court sitting in Palm Ridge.

On Tuesday the woman said De Velliers lured her to the studio by claiming she was to take part in a bikini shoot.

Earlier De Villiers’s lawyer Jaques Pienaar asked the woman how she knew it was a “bikini shoot” and how they used to communicate.

“He told me on mxit,” she replied.

Pienaar later put it to her that De Villiers would say when giving his evidence that he never used mxit like she said he did to communicate with her.

“He did use it,” she insisted.

Pienaar asked the woman again what kind of shoot they were having and whether it was a “disco shoot”.

“What kind of photo shoot did you have ?” Pienaar said.

The woman responded by telling Pienaar that they had only one disco themed shoot.

Pienaar pointed out when she made her statement to the police she said the incident occurred in 2009 yet she told the court it happened in 2010.

“It’s 2010 because of my Miss Calander t-shirt that I had,”

Later the woman was asked to show where she met De Villiers when she arrived at the studio, via a sketch.

Pienaar put it to the 20 year old that a day before, on Tuesday, she said De Villiers told her to go and wait for him upstairs. He said she was now saying De Villiers met her inside the office close to the studio door.

“Which one is true ?” Pienaar asked.

“I’m not sure, sometimes he met us in the studio and sometimes he met us outside,” the woman said.

Later the woman said when she came back to the studio after changing she found De Villiers shirtless and only in shorts and takkies.

“He was in his shorts and takkies sitting on the couch,” She said.

Pienaar asked her if she was surprised or taken aback by De Villiers being shirtless.

“I wasn’t because previous photo shoots he wouldn’t have his shirt on,” She said.

“He started kissing me,” the woman said.

She said she was uncomfortable and tried to jump up, but De Villiers pushed her down against the arm rest of the couch.

The 20-year-old broke down as she struggled to tell the court what De Villiers allegedly did to her.

The case continues.
