My tattoo is a tribute to Henning: murdererComment on this story
A tattoo on the calf of convicted killer Willem Pieterse is what he describes as a tribute to his victim, Chanelle Henning.
The tattoo shows a naked woman with long hair, wearing only a pair of high heel shoes, wrapped around a revolver.
The weapon is said to be the .38 Special gun used in the shooting.
Next to the drawing are the letters “RIP CH 08.11.2011” – meaning Rest in Peace Chanelle Henning, and the date of her murder.
Underneath is the image of his own Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, which he drove on the day of the hit.
Pieterse, whose body is covered in tattoos, is serving an 18-year prison sentence for shooting Henning after she dropped her son off at nursery school in Faerie Glen, Pretoria.
He pleaded guilty alongside co-accused and former policeman Gerhardus du Plessis.
Both men claimed they were hired by Ambrose Monye and Andre Gouws to carry out the shooting on the promise of a payment of R10 000 each.
Monye and Gouws are currently standing trial for the murder. – Staff Reporter
