Durban - A man arrested near President Jacob Zuma's private Nkandla homestead appeared in the Nkandla Magistrate's Court on Friday, KwaZulu-Natal police said.

“He appeared in the Nkandla Magistrate's Court (for being) in possession of unlicensed firearms and for alleged armed robbery and murder,” said Captain Thulani Zwane.

The case was postponed to January 14 for further investigation.

The 22-year-old man was arrested near Zuma's homestead around 7.30pm on Wednesday and was in possession of four firearms, Zwane said. - Sapa
