Pretoria - After a morning of court delays, Oscar Pistorius has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges he faces.
Pistorius is charged firstly with the murder of his model girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp on February 13, 2013.
He was also accused of discharging a firearm recklessly on two occasions, once in 2012 out of a sunroof of a car he was travelling in, and another bullet shot at Tasha's restaurant in Melrose Arch.
But Pistorius claims innocence on all of the charges, as the battle of legal heavyweights, prosecutor Gerrie Nel and Advocate Barry Roux, begins.
The Blade Runner stood calmly at the stand as his charges were read to him, occasionally glancing downward as the eyes of hundreds of journalists, family members and other members of the gallery stared on.
Meanwhile, on Monday morning, the court was told there was a problem with one of the interpreters and this was the reason for the late start.
Department of justice official Emily Dhlamini said two interpreters were assigned to the case and were supposedly ready this morning. But an unforeseen - and unexplained issue - kept one of them from arriving.
