Six men held for the murder of a Free State family on their farm near Lindley were on Wednesday denied bail in the Lindley Magistrate's Court.
Free State police spokeswoman Sergeant Majang Mosupa said the case was postponed to January 24, 2011 for further investigation.
The six, including a minor, were remanded.
The court sat in camera due to the presence of a minor.
The case was earlier this week postponed for all the men to get legal representation for a bail hearing on Wednesday.
Attie Potgieter, his wife Wilma and their daughter Willemien, 3, were found murdered on their farm. It appeared Potgieter was stabbed, while his wife and daughter were shot.
The murders, especially that of the little girl, have led to a public outcry for government to declare farm attacks a priority crime.
Previously, community members including farmers and the ANC Women's League gathered outside the court to protest over the murders. - Sapa
