Bloemfontein - The six-week-old baby raped in Galeshewe, Kimberley, has been referred to the Universitas Academic Hospital in Bloemfontein, the Free State health department said on Friday.
The baby arrived at the hospital accompanied by her mother on Tuesday, spokesman Mondli Mvambi said.
“The doctors are treating her and have indicated that she is in a stable condition,” Mvambi said.
The infant was admitted to a hospital intensive care unit after being raped last Tuesday, allegedly by her 24-year-old uncle.
