Soweto man held for dagga, arson

Johannesburg - A Soweto man arrested for dagga possession on Tuesday morning was wanted for allegedly petrol bombing a house, Gauteng police said.

The 33-year-old was caught with a small amount of dagga in Diepkloof, Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said.

Police subsequently discovered he was wanted for allegedly petrol bombing his neighbour's home in Zone three, Diepkloof, on Thursday. Nobody was injured. Makhubela said the motive for the attack was not known.

The man would appear in the Protea Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
