Suspect nabbed for 4-year-old’s murder

Johannesburg - A 34-year-old man was arrested on Monday for the the murder of a four-year-old girl in North West.

Nomthandazo Talakase, 4, went missing on September 11.

Provincial police spokesperson Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said Talakase’s body was discovered on September 19 in bushes near Monoto-mosetlha informal settlement in Huhudi location, near Vryburg.

A boy who was hunting alerted his elders after he discovered the body which was missing the left hand.

The suspect was arrested on Saturday, September 24, after police received information that he might be a possible suspect.

The suspect has no relation with the victim but is a resident at Huhudi location.

The suspect will appear at the Vryburg Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
