Rustenburg - A 17-year-old boy has been sentenced to 46 years imprisonment by the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate’s Court, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Tuesday.
Major Thulani Zwane said the teen was sentenced on Monday, for rape, abduction and malicious damage to property.
“He was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment for rape, 18 years for abduction and 10 years for malicious damage to property,” he said.
He was arrested for raping a 12-year-old girl in August 2013.
“The accused used his spear to force the door open. He threatened the victim with a spear and took her way where she was raped.”
