Johannesburg - A 30-year-old man has been arrested for stabbing to death a three-year-old girl in Tambo Village, Uitenhage, Eastern Cape police said on Sunday.
The man was arrested on Saturday night after the girl's body was found in a house, said Warrant Officer Basil Seekoei. There were stab wounds in her upper body.
“It's been alleged that the child was stabbed with a knife,” Seekoei said. Police were investigating the motive for the murder.
The 30-year-old would appear in the Uitenhage Magistrate's Court on Monday. - Sapa
