Durban - A man and a woman were shot dead in a car in the Adams Mission area, near Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Sunday.
Major Thulani Zwane said that KwaMakhutha police were investigating the double murder after a shooting on Saturday night.
“It is alleged that two people aged unknown at this stage were fatally shot by unknown suspects,” Zwane said.
“The motive of the killing is unknown and no arrest has been made at this stage.”
Earlier, paramedics said the shooting happened at around 11.13pm.
Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said paramedics and police arrived at the scene and found a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s still seated in a car.
Both had multiple gunshot wounds.
“Tragically they died before our arrival due to the extensive injuries that they sustained.”
