Johannesburg - A woman has been fined R10 000 for being in possession of illegal medicine and illegal posters promoting penis enlargement, Johannesburg metro police said on Saturday.

She was in possession of medicine which she was prepared to sell for R350 at the Protea Glen shopping centre in Soweto, said spokesman Chief Superintendent Wayne Minaar.

She was also in possession of 10 posters, she received a R1 000 fine for each.

“The woman's number appeared on illegal posters (penis enlargement) which were appearing in areas around the mall, on lamp posts and traffic lights,” Minaar said.

The woman led officers to a house in Booysens where the medicine was made, this was the same house where police arrested two men for possession of illegal posters and counterfeit money last month.

The two men were later released on bail Minaar said. - Sapa
