Cape Town – A 53-year-old Northern Cape woman was arrested on Thursday and charged with murder for allegedly stabbing a man to death, police said.

According to Northern Cape police, the fatal stabbing took place at Club 2000 in Nobengula Street in Galeshewe township in Kimberley.

The victim, said police, was a 44-year-old man with whom the suspect had allegedly argued before the murder.

“The suspect was arrested on the crime scene,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant Olebogeng Tawana.

“She will appear before the Galeshewe Magistrate’s Court immediately after the completion of the preliminary investigation.”
