New Brighton, Eastern Cape - A woman was arrested when she was found in possession of stolen property from a hijacked vehicle in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth, police said on Thursday.

The items were loaded off at the 42-year-old woman's home in Singaphi street by three armed men who had hijacked a Toyota Quantum on Sheay-Kulati Drive on Wednesday, said Warrant Officer Dumile Gwavu.

Police made the arrest after a tip-off. The hijacked vehicle was recovered in Ngqolombe Street.
