A man has found the body of a newborn baby under a bush in Philippi in Cape Town, police said on Wednesday.
The body was wrapped in a plastic bag when the man discovered it near Klipfontein Road around 8am on Tuesday, Warrant Officer November Filander said.
It was not immediately clear how long the body had been lying there, he said.
Police have opened a case of concealment of birth. – Sapa
