Sydney - An Australian sex worker support group lost government funding on Thursday after a public outcry over a manual it produced telling novice prostitutes to "always act like you enjoy it".
West Australian Health Minister Bob Kucera said an audit had shown that public money was being used by Phoenix to give sex workers handy hints about keeping clients, rather than advice on safe sex.
"The material Phoenix has produced appears to glamourise and promote the sex industry, and much of it has nothing to do with health outcomes," Kucera told Australia's AAP news agency. - Sapa-DPA
