Durban - The DA in KwaZulu-Natal said on Sunday that the premier needed to improve leadership in the province.
“The Democratic Alliance calls on premier, Zweli Mkhize, to address the leadership crisis within the provincial government in his State of the Province address later this week,” provincial leader Sizwe Mchunu said on Sunday.
Premier Zweli Mkhize would deliver his State of the Province address on Thursday in Pietermaritzburg.
Mchunu said that service delivery and issues around audits also needed to be addressed.
The premier's spokesperson Ndabezinhle Sibiya said in response that KwaZulu-Natal was the only province with a government unit that dealt with financial prudence.
Sibiya said Mkhize welcomed healthy debate on service delivery. - Sapa
