Hamas leaders welcome in Cape - ANC

Cape Town - The ANC in the Western Cape on Tuesday said it welcomes the delegation of Hamas leaders to Cape Town.

“The ANC in the Western Cape is delighted to host the Palestinian leaders of Hamas in Cape Town on October 21,” said spokesperson Yonela Diko.

The Hamas leaders will be in Cape Town for one day. They will participate in symbolic visits to various sites and stakeholders in the City.

Diko said: “The ANC cherishes a long and lasting relationship with the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and our relationship with Hamas is based on our unwavering recognition of the Palestinian Authority and our shared historical support”.

The Hamas leaders will end their visit with a rally, which will take place at Turfhall Stadium in Lansdowne on Wednesday from 11am to 2pm.
