Johannesburg - DA leader Mmusi Maimane has ruled out working with the ANC in any coalition government after the local government elections.
Maimane was speaking in Mamelodi on Thursday where he, alongside the DA's Gauteng mayoral candidates, launched the party's jobs plan.
Maimane said it was too early to discuss coalition as it was not clear how many votes parties would get.
However, Maimane was adamant that working with the ANC was completely out of the question.
The DA is striving to win four major metros from the ANC after the local government elections, and suggestions are that coalitions may be be necessary in close contests like the one expected in the battle for Tshwane.
