I cannot believe how much racist rubbish has been reported in the last week. Everything in the SA papers is about race issues. why is there suddenly such a theme in all the articles??? what the hell is going on in SA?? Is it in sympathy or support or perhaps just highlighting the ANC 100 year celebrations?? i dunno... but you will fuel something nasty if you guys keep this up !!

Suprising that in this day and age we still have IDIOTS who still have this simplistic view on life in S.A. A word of advice, watch your back as you have made yourself a justifiable target for every white person. Grow Up if you wan't to be taken seriously.

Shame man...you only had to wait 30 minutes....I am blonde (and better looking than you) and I had to wait 90 minutes for food to arrive and then the food was cold. Your reaction was - Bad service = foul mood and BIG temper and that results in kill people?? I dont get it. My reaction was - Bad service = dont go back to that same restaurant EVER again and go find another restaurant that DOES have good service. It's their financial loss. Think LOGICALLY buddy...On the other hand maybe Joburg is the best place for you. As you state, “In Joburg, you can go anywhere and you feel welcome.” On the other hand, if this is just to make a point, you have really made your point - EVERYONE is hyper sensitive about skin colour at the moment, I am tired of being expected to feel guilty about the colour of my skin. I am white and beautiful and you are black and beautiful. But our minds and thoughts are dark because we constantly want to make excuses for ourselves. We all need to stop feeling inferior. If you started feeling better about yourself you would be able to deal with a 30 minute wait. PS why didnt you ask for a discount for being kept waiting? That may have made you feel better. Hope you manage to find a restaurant that offers better service. :)

Makes me sad readin all these comments. I am a white woman, aged 35. My mother was arrested protesting pass laws. We were raised that the black man was our equal, and that we were all the same on the inside. When I was 18 and voted in the first ever democrated election, I was so proud. And now, abolsute sadmess fills me. What did my mother get arrested for. I have dedicated my life to training and uplifting black ladies with skills they can use to make a living. Yet, when I read comments like this man's and many below, I am seen that I am simply hated for my skin colour, not judged on who I am? I am white, I and my family have treated every black person we ever met with love, kindness and dignity. Now you tell me you want to kill me and my small, innocent children - simply because I am white? Come one people. Let's be better than this. It took a lot to unite this country before, and we can do it again. there is no need to hate each other like this. We are all people. We all love, hurt, cry... as Shakespeare said, "Is a Rose not still a Rose if by any other name." Stop classifying us by race. WE ARE HUMANITY. WE ARE ONE! Let's pull together and be better than people like this.

The last time I was in South Africa, I had to wait 2hours at a restaurant in Simons Town for a drink. I thought it was because I am a red head. The visit before that, I had two black men tell me that my daughter was still fresh and would be good for muti. "GO figure why I will NEVER return to South Africa"!!!

This is an issue I wish the government needs to address urgently. Many of us, well, I am same age as Malema, I was angry way before Malema, and loathed the site of white people. Sometimes I wondered why I am like this - but I was made to be what I was (it was a matter of time). I thank The Lord God Almighty that He changed my heart and wish everyone should know Him like I do. Then we will know that besides serving Him, we are also here to serve one another. It is an extremely unfortunate fact that probably in excess of 70% of the population would have been more than happy to wait far in excess of an hour to sit down and eat at that restaurant, if only they could afford it. Please don't abuse your education and good fortune by continuing something that we spent 300 years proving does not work, and never will. This you do in the name of religion, where were you when the lights went on, you chop?
