Seriti commission adjournedComment on this story
Johannesburg - The Seriti Commission of Inquiry into the 1999 arms deal adjourned on Monday.
The inquiry would resume next Tuesday, spokesman William Baloyi said in a statement.
This was as whistleblower Richard Young brought three applications seeking discovery and production of various documents from the commission, Armscor and the defence and military veterans department.
“After deliberations by parties, the commission refused all the three applications,” said Baloyi.
The commission, sitting in Pretoria and headed by Judge Willie Seriti, is investigating allegations of corruption in the multi-billion rand arms deal.
