Port Elizabeth - One person was injured when a shop in Korsten, Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape collapsed on Sunday, the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality said.
The collapse happened at Aboos Cash and Carry on Sunday afternoon, spokesman Kupido Baron said.
“The corrugated iron from the shaft came loose, “ he said.
One person, who was trapped under the rubble, was freed by emergency services and was taken to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
Baron said he could not confirm the nature of the person's injuries.
No one else was injured in the collapse.
