Johannesburg - Two men were arrested in Orange Farm, south of Johannesburg, on Tuesday after police discovered a drug laboratory on the property.
“Police followed on a tip-off and found the owner in the house. The drug laboratory was fully equipped with machinery and ingredients used to produce various types of drugs,” spokesperson Lieutenant Kay Makhubela said.
The home owner, aged 51, then called a friend to the scene. According to Makhubela, the friend arrived with a bag full of cash.
“The friend tried to bribe police with R39 000 in cash. He was also arrested and charged with trying to bribe police officers.’
The men, aged 51 and 38, are expected to appear in the Vaal Magistrate’s Court soon.
