Johannesburg – Gautrain services are back on track after a brief interruption that happened on Thursday morning due to a train failure.

The interruption happened at around 8:30am on Thursday and forced commuters to use the bus service provided by Gautrain to get from Hatfield to Pretoria stations.

Gautrain spokesperson Kesagee Nayager said in a statement that train services between Hatfield and Pretoria stations were, on Friday, functioning at normal 15 minute intervals at peak period.

"The train service to all other Gautrain stations remain fully operational and according to schedule. We thank passengers for their patience and understanding and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience", Nayager said.
