President Jacob Zuma's wife Nompumelelo MaNtuli Zuma was not concerned over reports that she had a relationship with a bodyguard, Isolezwe IsiZulu Newspaper reported on Wednesday.

“The sad part is I do not know how to control this. I am being abused in a big way, I do not know who is spreading this thing,” MaNtuli said in an interview with Isolezwe.

Last year it was reported that MaNtuli allegedly had an affair with one of her bodyguards, who later died, and that she had given birth to his child.

“But if you think about it how can a bodyguard approach the wife of the president who also happens to be a mother figure to him? I have never slept with the bodyguard,” said MaNtuli.

She insisted there were people seeking to tarnish her image.

Asked about the status of her relationship with the president at the moment, she said everything was going well.

“My child is alive and looks like the president. That is why I am not concerned about the things that are being said about me because I do not know where they come from.” -
