Johannesburg - A man was killed when he was struck by a train at the Florida railway station in Roodepoort on Wednesday. Netcare 911 spokeswoman Athlenda Mathe said details surrounding how the man was struck were sketchy.
However, when paramedics arrived they found the man, believed to be in his 30s, in a critical condition.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the man's condition deteriorated and he went into cardiac arrest.
He died shortly afterwards and was declared dead at the scene. Police were investigating.
