Johannesburg - One person was killed and 12 others injured when a bakkie overturned on the N14 in Randburg on Wednesday morning, Gauteng paramedics said.
“Shortly before 6am, ER24 paramedics were called to the scene where they found people scattered across the highway,” ER24
spokesman Werner Vermaak said.
“It appears as if the majority of the patients were sitting on the back of the bakkie when it overturned.”
One person was critically injured and was airlifted to Charlotte Maxeke Hospital. The other injured people were taken to different hospitals.
“The patients sustained injuries ranging from fractures to scrapes and bruises,” he said. - Sapa
