Gauteng – An actor from the eTV soapie Scandal! has reportedly been arrested along with seventeen others at a brothel in Springs.
Springs police have reportedly confirmed that seventeen people have been taken into custody – among them the actor, who cannot be named at this stage.
A 25-year-old woman who allegedly managed to escape from the brothel is reportedly responsible for tipping off police about what was happening. The suspects have been charged with human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
The group is expected to make an appearance on Friday in the Spring Magistrate's Court.
