Johannesburg – Two men were lucky to survive with minor injuries after their aircraft crashed in Midrand early Wednesday, ER24 reported.

“Shortly before 4am paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene near Kruger Avenue where they found a small aircraft lying upside-down in an open veld near the airport,” said ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak.

“Two men, believed to be in their early thirties, were found walking around scene. Paramedics assessed them and found that they were lucky to have sustained only minor injuries.”

Both men were taken to Sunninghill Hospital for further assessment.

The exact cause of the incident is not yet known. Local authorities attended the incident and will conduct an investigation.
