Johannesburg - An 88-year-old woman was killed when her car hit a pole in Benoni on Wednesday afternoon, ER24 said.
“ER24 paramedics, along with provincial services, arrived on scene and found the light motor pushed up against a pole on the side of the road,” the paramedic service said in a statement.
“On assessment, paramedics found the elderly woman lying slumped over the steering wheel with no signs of life.”
The woman was the only occupant of the car.
The cause of the accident was not known but police were on the scene investigating.
