A Table View woman who was surprised by a gun-wielding intruder has testified about the night she and a roommate were forced to undress and ordered to perform oral sex on the man in her bedroom.

The 27-year-old woman appeared anxious in the witness box of the Cape Town Regional Court, where accused Colin Abselone is on trial for robbery and indecent assault.

The woman said she was in bed before 10pm on November 26, 2006 when she heard the front door of her flat open.

When she heard footsteps in the passage, she was unconcerned as she assumed one of her roommate's friends was with her, she told the court on Friday.

Later, she awoke to see her roommate at her bedroom door, with a man beside her.

"He pointed a gun against her head. She was crying, very shaky and upset. She told me to just do what he says."

The man asked about the woman's laptop. She told him it was at her boyfriend's house in Kuils River. When he asked about other valuables, she mentioned the TV, DVD player, hi-fi and her car keys.

Soon afterwards he sat down on her bed next to her. She handed him her purse, which contained her bank cards, as well as jewellery valued at more than R70 000.

"He said it was all over and that he would be leaving, but then told us to undress," she testified.

The two women undressed to their underwear but the man ordered them to undress completely. He then instructed the naked women to kneel down before him at the bed.

"I got upset and started crying hysterically. He said I must calm down and stop crying."

The man then took off his pants and told the women to perform oral sex on him. But as he shoved her head down towards his pelvis, her roommate offered to do what he asked. Her roommate then started screaming.

"He jumped up, looked around and ran away. He probably got a fright," the woman told the court.

The women then ran to their neighbour, who called the police.

The woman told the court she was contacted about an identification parade but did not go as she was unsure whether she could positively identify her attacker.

Defence attorney Arthur Olsen did not cross-examine the witness.

Abselone has been in custody since January 10, 2007 and has pleaded not guilty to robbing 12 women at gunpoint and forcing four of them to perform oral sex on him.

The trial continues on August 25.
