Johannesburg - South African singer Kurt Darren is recovering in hospital after breaking eight ribs in a car accident in Pretoria, Eyewitness News reported on Sunday.
“We're very fortunate that his back is not broken,” his brother Darren van Heerden told the news station.
On Saturday night, the car in which Darren was travelling as a passenger fell into a ditch in Pretoria East.
Darren was subsequently airlifted to Milpark Hospital where he is in a stable condition, according to Eyewitness News.
The driver of the car was also injured and taken to hospital. - Sapa
