Durban - A five-year-old boy was killed and his grandmother injured when a truck hit them on the M25 in Durban on Friday, paramedics said.

The two were standing next to the barriers on the off-ramp from the N2 to the M25 when the trailer's wheels hit them, Netcare 911

spokesman Chris Botha said.

The boy died before paramedics arrived. The grandmother was taken to a nearby hospital. - Sapa
