Ten hurt in KZN bike crash

Durban - A biker and nine other people were injured when his motorcycle collided with five cars in Durban, paramedics said on Monday.

The accident happened on Sunday afternoon on the M19 before the N2 bridge, said Rescue Care spokesman Garrith Jamieson.

“Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the critically injured biker lying in the roadway with his bike in pieces.”

He was treated on the scene before being transported to St Augustine hospital.

The other injured were taken to various Durban hospitals, said Jamieson.

“It is unclear what caused the pile-up. However the necessary authorities were in attendance and will be investigating further.” - Sapa
