Umdloti swimmer rescued

Durban - A man was rescued and another is missing after they were swept out to sea at the Umdloti main beach on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast on Tuesday, paramedics said.

“Lifeguards managed to rescue a man, aged around 50, but a 22-year-old is still missing,” Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said.

The rescued man was treated on the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital. Police were searching for the other man.
