Tzaneen – A woman was killed and seven other people were injured when a car rolled on the R71 outside Tzaneen in Limpopo, paramedics said on Saturday.

ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said the accident happened late on Friday night.

He said that the woman who succumbed to her injuries was believed to be between 18 and 20-years-old.

“Assessment showed that the woman had sustained numerous, fatal injuries. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the patient and she was declared dead on the scene,” he said.

The seven other patients had injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

They were all taken to the nearby Letaba Provincial Hospital in Tzaneen.

He said it was believed that the driver had lost control of his vehicle, which caused it to roll several times. Police were on scene investigating the accident.
