British brides - their husbands and their wedding guests - are spending millions on weddings in KwaZulu-Natal.
They have forked out a whopping R72-million with one local wedding company, Designer Décor, over the past 11 years.
Now, supported by Tourism KZN and the department of arts, culture and tourism, the company is planning to woo even more couples by exhibiting at Britain's biggest bridal fair in Earl's Court, London.
On Tuesday night, Werner Lamprecht, Angelina Jona and Nombuso Shozi of Designer Décor, flew to London to prepare for the weekend's show.
It will be the first time that a KZN company has exhibited at the prestigious fair and the company's founder member, Gertie Nicolson, said everyone was upbeat about the prospects. - Daily News Reporter
