Johannesburg - A family of three were killed when their vehicle crashed into the back of a truck outside Polokwane on Saturday, paramedics said.

“The mother, father and their four-year-old daughter died,” said ER24 spokesman Derrick Banks.

The mother's body was extricated from the wreckage using hydraulic equipment.

The accident happened on the N1 south, 40 km outside of Polokwane. - Sapa
